Our process doesn’t stop when your product is printed.

Our specialist finishing department will help make your print more visually pleasing. For those outdoor pieces, we can provide that extra protection against the elements. At Dornans we provide a plethora of different finishing techniques to suit your project.

Foil Blocking

Foil blocking helps to enhance your design with the use of metallic colours, such as copper, silver and gold. This helps to add a premium feel to your products and is great for packaging, stationery and brochures.

Embossing

Embossing helps to add a textured finish to your print. Embossing is a finishing technique that adds a 3D effect to your product.

Debossing

Debossing helps to add a textured finish to your print, by pushing the paper fibres out, thus producing a convex effect.

CNC Die Cutting

Die cutting is perfect for creating stunning packaging. If the shape you want printing is a
bespoke, irregular shape, our specialist machinery will be able to precisely cut to provide
packaging you can be proud of.

Duplexing

Need an especially thick product? Our master craftsmen use duplexing to create double thick products that conventional printing wouldn’t be able to produce. We’ll bond together 2 or more sheets to create a truly bespoke piece of print.

Paper Over Board

Perfect for presentation boxers, covers or cases, paper over board helps give your product a quality finish. Edges of the board are covered with a material such as paper or cloth.

Saddle Stitching

If you have a brochure or magazine you’ll benefit from saddle stitching. Our team will provide a first class product by gathering folded sheets together and stapling through the fold.

PUR Binding

Create stunning books with PUR, an extremely strong and flexible binding adhesive. Ideal if your document is between 50-700 pages, you’ll get a book that is perfectly neat with a printed cover wrapped around the contents.

Wiro Binding

If you have a recipe book or instruction manual, you’ll require Wiro binding. You can choose from a variety of styles and colours, to create that unique feel and keep the product on brand. Your product will be punched several times down one side, allowing a steel wire comb to hold the finished document together.

Layflat Binding

Layflat is a specialist technique that is great for prospect brochures of visually appealing products and services. This finishing method allows an image or text to flow across a double page spread without staples or binding interrupting.

Case Binding

Case binding offers a wealth of different options. Our expert team can guide you through choosing the right material, including acrylic, leather, wood, cloth and many more. We’ll then fulfill a case binding finish that creates a bespoke end product.
