Dornan’s was founded in 1848 by Thomas Dornan, a young entrepreneur with a dream of becoming the north of England’s premier print shop. Since then, we have developed with the changing landscape of printing technology, moving from hand and foot operated presses to the state-of-the-art printing equipment that allows us to handle any printing requirements.

Whilst the technology may now be different, our attitude to print remains. We stay true to that original, painstaking craftsmanship and attention to detail. And it’s this mix of pride, heritage, perfectionism and an innate understanding of what we do, that allows us to deliver a first-rate service and exceptional results each and every time.

Whether this means being fully aware of our carbon footprint, or helping our customers to reduce theirs through the services and products we provide. We are actively working towards the BSI standard ISO 14001[CP1]. This, along with our FSC® certification and use of vegetable based inks helps us to be as environmentally friendly as possible.

With two litho presses, three digital presses and two Digital flatbed UV presses we have everything our clients need to effectively deliver on a huge variety of projects.
